Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) features offer various tracking, billing and security features for web-based self-provisioning including simultaneous support for multiple RADIUS AAA servers as well as local authentication (username/password), prepaid access codes (generated by the NetAccess™ software or uploaded) and/or credit card billing. Also available is LDAP authentication for integration into back end authorization systems.
The bandwidth management enables service providers to limit bandwidth usage asymmetrically on a per user basis. This ensures every user has a quality experience by placing a cap on bandwidth for each device accessing the network so no user is able to saturate the available bandwidth. Additionally, multiple speeds can be offered as a way to gain additional revenue from high demand customers that pay extra to upgrade to faster speeds.
